Current Conceptions, Inc. received an SBIR, Fast-Track Contract from the U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences to develop and test a multimedia design called “Time Compressed Animated Delivery” (TCAD). These modules include the use of 2D and 3D animation, voice-over and script messaging to teach complex topics in reproductive physiology to university students. Below is an example of the TCAD developed to teach students about mammalian follicular dynamics. Instructional design of each TCAD is based on the cognitive theory of multimedia learning (CTML) to maximize learning.
