The umbilical cord, (UC-arrow) of the fetus receives blood vessels (BV) from the fetal cotyledons (FC). Glycogen plaques (GP) can be visualized on the surface of the chorion and the amnion. These plaques are localized squamous proliferations called verrucae. |
